Hello,

Welcome to the WPML support forum. I will do my best to help you to resolve these issues.

Does it happen for the login and not logged in users? Can you please share a couple of screenshots for a better understanding.

Please try the following troubleshooting steps after a site backup and make sure the issue is existing or not.

1) Go to WPML>>Support page

2) Click on Troubleshooting link (blue link in the middle of the page)

3) In Troubleshooting page, please click on the following options of the *Clean up* section. Wait for confirmation of processing after each one.

- Clear the cache in WPML
- Remove ghost entries from the translation tables
- Fix element_type collation
- Set language information
- Fix WPML tables collation
- Recreate ST DB cache tables

Hello,

Thank you for your quick reply.

Here's the history:

1. Installed WordPress and WPML Multilingual CMS
2. Made some customizitions to the theme etc.
3. Couldn't find the strings (see screenshot) to translate the CTA button and site's slogan apperaring on the featured content
4. Installed WPML String Translation and still couldn't find
5. Contacted WPML support

Should I still do your above procedure?

Thank you.

Hello,

Thank you for the updates. In some cases, it is possible that those strings have been recognized but not associated yet to the String Translation panel for the translation. Please try the following steps after a backup and let me know your feedback.

1) Please increase *WP Memory Limit* to *256*(the minimum required memory limit for WPML is *128*). Please check the following links for more details

https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements/

https://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP

2) Visit WPML>>String Translation
3) Click on the blue link at the bottom of the page: "Translate texts in admin screens »"
4) Look for an option similar to "theme_mod_*", or something like that. Here you should find all the strings associated with your theme/plugin options.
5) Check the checkbox for your strings of interest.
6) Click on the button "Apply"(at the bottom of the page)
7) Now, all your selected strings should appear in the String Translation panel and you can translate those strings

Please check the following documentation for more details.

Hi Bigul,

Thanks a lot!

I did changed the limit like this in the WP config: define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );
Is it right?

It worked for the CTA button and its link! But I couldn't find the string to change the big text above which is controlled by the site's slogan field.

Hello,

Thank you for the updates. Yes we have the following code in *wp-config.php* file to increase the memory limit.

define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );

I would like to access the admin area of your site for further checking. Please fill the private details fields after a full site backup.

Hello,

Thank you for the updates and login information. Please check the attached image. That string is listing in String Translation panel, under *WP* string domain.

Please choose *WP* string domain for *Select strings within domain* field. The string will be visible for you.

Hello,

For some reasons, we could'nt find where we changed the text of the CTA button.
We searched where you told us but we cannot find it.

Thanks again for your help.
