Hi there,

If possible, please provide us with some additional information on the issue you are experiencing with the translation. This will help our team better understand.

Feel free to share an example or direct link where the translation is located and how it should be displayed.

The issue is that this is completely wrong german translation - it is verbatim not common sense. See image. For a short period of time it was showing a more correct Translation (e.g. in the nav bar in german it showed Startseite instead of Heim, but now its gone back to Heim which is wrong).

Hi,

can you please provide us with your debug information? https://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support/

Did you change automatic translation engine?

BTW it seems to be as if the language toggle in the footer leads to a different translation than the top right toggle. And then when I switch to English it still shows german. Very odd

What specifically is debug info?
Yes, automatic translation is on.

I sent you a link to provide debug information https://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support/

I know you're using automatic translation, I asked if you changed the engine, for example from DeepL to Google.

Here you go. I did not make any switch from Deepl to Google

That's pretty strange. I see 2 jobs for the homepage ailoveshr.com.

In the first one, "Home" was translated as "Home", in the second one "Home" was translated as "Startseite" as expected.

I would ask you to increase your WP Memory Limit (https://wpml.org/faq/checklist-before-opening-a-ticket-in-wpml-support/#how-can-i-increase-my-sites-memory-limit) and resend the home page to translation.

If after doing that you still have the issue, please provide me with your site's credentials so I can better check.

I can tell you how the 2 jobs appear maybe - so on the website, there is a toggle on the top of the site and 1 on the bottom in the footer. The one in the footer gives the better translation. How do I solve this?

It might be a cache issue then. What if you remove the menu switcher and add it again?

How do I do that? Also, is string translation supposed to be active? See screenshot

It is not a cache problem. Would it help if you got the debug info again? The issue is really because there are two toggles on the site. Could we pehaps arrange a call?

After all I may need to do manual translation anyway. Did I have to pay 99 for that? Or could I downgrade if I do it manually?

In WPML > Languages > Language switchers https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/#language-switcher

Yes, String Translation must be enabled or you can't translate Elementor content.
