I am trying to: I translated the menus, but a new horizonal footer appeared. Also, blog posts are not displaying on Spanish version. I also need to translate widget footer column titles.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

I expected to see: The translated page, with translated menues, and displaying blog posts

Instead, I got: Page with translated content, withoug blog posts, and with an extra horizonal menu at bottom right footer. Also, I don't see how I can translate the titles of the widgets for the footer columns

Hi and thank you for contacting WPML Support!

I will be happy to help you with this.

This looks like a CSS issue as you can see in my screenshots.

If you change that CSS to this one below, that should remove the borders on the footer "Donacion" button.

.av-main-nav .av-menu-button > a .avia-menu-text {
    border: 2px solid;
    border-radius: 2px;
}

From my understanding, there are also other issues happening.

In our forum, we try to keep one issue per ticket.

Continuing with one ticket per issue helps not only supporters to focus on one issue at once, but also enables other users to find solutions to their questions faster.

If the footer menu button issue is resolved may I kindly ask you to please mark this ticket as resolved and open a new ticket for the additional issue?

Also, it would be very helpful if in the new ticket that you will create you could provide more information like the exact steps you took to make the issue take place, screenshots, and links.

This will help us in our debugging process.

Please also let me know if the CSS I provided solved your issue in the footer button. 🙂

Kind regards,

Mihai Apetrei

Hi, thank you for the reply but you seem to have misunderstood the issue. The issue has NOTHING to do with the Donation / Donacion menu button border.
The menu issue IS the fact that after I translated the menus, a new, unwanted, duplicate menu appeared at the bottom of the page, on the footer socket. This menu was not there before, and should not be there at all. It displays both in the English and Spanish versions, and it shouldn't. Please see the attached screenshot and advise.

Hi.

Thank you for the explanation.

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Our Debugging Procedures

I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.

Privacy and Security Policy

We have strict policies regarding privacy and access to your information. Please see:
https://wpml.org/purchase/support-policy/privacy-and-security-when-providing-debug-information-for-support/

**IMPORTANT**

- Please make a backup of the site files and database before providing us access.

- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box.

The private box looks like this: hidden link

I will be waiting for your response.

Kind regards,
Mihai

Hi.

It seems that you had a footer menu enabled.

I just unchecked the checkbox in the screenshot I attached and saved the menu.

I also attached a screenshot of how the footer looks now.

Please let me know if this solved your issue or if you still need help.

I will be waiting for your response.

Kind regards,
Mihai
