This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

the category is translated in the blog title but when I open the category page, no posts are found

Solution:

'Synchronize posts taxonomies' option in the troubleshooting section solved the problem.

Nach dem neusten Update habe ich festgestellt das wieder die Kategorien Übersetzung nicht mehr funktioniert, die kategorie wird zwar im Blog Titel übersetzt aber sonst nirgendwo

Hi.

I can see the problem on your site.

1. Is this a regular WordPress posts category?
2. Please check if the translated posts into German don't need an update.
3. Also, check if the translated categories are assigned to the German posts.

If correcting the above does not solve the problem then please try WPML's troubleshooting section.

1. Take a backup of the DB of your site.
2. Go to WPML -> Support -> Troubleshooting (link)
3. Once on the troubleshooting screen press the following buttons and check if it helps. Press each button at a time and wait for the process to complete.
- 'Synchronize posts taxonomies' for Posts (your post type).
- 'Clear the cache in WPML'
- 'Remove ghost entries from the translation tables'
- 'Fix element_type collation'
- 'Fix WPML tables collation'
- 'Set language information'
- 'Assign translation status to duplicated content'
- 'Fix terms count'
- 'Fix post type assignment for translations'
- 'Translatable taxonomies linking' for your post type.
- 'Cleanup and optimize string tables'

*** Please make a backup of your database before using this.***

Does this fix the problem?

If I switch to german in the "edit post" window, I have to check the boxes of the categories and then it works, but this should be done automatically right?
