[Closed] language switcher not loading to the specific language selected loading at the same previous state

Background of the issue:
I am trying to change the language on my website from English to another language using the WPML plugin. The specific page I am working on is hidden link. I expected the URL to change to include the language code, such as /hi/ or /kn-in/, after the domain name.

Symptoms:
The language switcher is not loading the specific language selected. Instead, it stays on the same page without changing to the respective language page. The URL path does not show the language code after the domain name, except for the home page, which works fine.

Questions:
Why is the language switcher not loading the selected language?
How can I ensure the URL path shows the correct language code for all pages?
