Background of the issue:
I am trying to set up languages on my website hidden link using WPML. I have added Arabic as a language, and English is already added. I want my dashboard to remain in English while the front site content is in Arabic. I also want the front site to only have Arabic content without changing the URL to /ar or /en.

Symptoms:
When I set Arabic as the default language, the dashboard changes to Arabic.

Questions:
How can I keep the dashboard in English while having the front site content in Arabic?
How can I prevent the URL from changing to /ar or /en when using WPML?

Hi,

Did you try this?
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/setting-the-wordpress-administration-language/

As for your second question, WPML works by modifying the URL to include a language identifier (like `/en/` or `/ar/`) in order to load the correct language version of a page. This is a core part of how WPML handles multilingual sites.

Could you please let us know more specifically what you're trying to achieve by preventing the URL change? For example:

* Do you want users to stay on the same URL but just switch the content language?
* Are you trying to hide the language code for aesthetic reasons?
* Or is this related to SEO, user experience, or something else?

Because the above is not possible, there needs to be a language parameter to show the translated content.
