Hi,

Thank you for contacting us. Before you can define a domain for each language, you must configure the secondary domain as an alias and point to the default installation.

You can see the step by step in our documentation: https://wpml.org/tutorials/2016/04/use-wpml-different-domains-per-language/

Please, let me know if I can help with any other questions you may have about it. I'll be happy to help.

Thank you.

Hi,

Unfortunately, this does not seem possible without custom coding. The moment you choose another URL format, the previous format will no longer work.

In the case of using a domain for each language, your site will not automatically redirect to the secondary domain if you access the URL by directory or parameter.

To do this, you would need custom coding and create a custom script to do these redirects. You can also try using a plugin, such as "Redirection" (https://wordpress.org/plugins/redirection/) and see if it works as desired.

Thank you.
