Hello

What is the benefit of translating media? I will use different media for every version. What to be done?
Also there is an option of duplicating media in translating, does this affect site SEO?

Thanks

Hello, thank you for contacting WPML Support!

If you need to use a different image for the translated version of your content, you need WPML Media and WPML Translation Management plugins.
See this article on how to use a different image per language:

If you will use the same images on the translated content, you can just duplicate the media files.
See: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/media-translation/#media-translation-settings

To improve your SEO when using duplicated media files, you can translate the captions and the titles of the media files. You can do it in the Media Library or by following these steps:
See: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/media-translation/#translation-for-image-captions-and-titles

Please let me know if this solves the issue or if you need further details.

Thank you
