I used WP menu sync to generate all of my menu in Spanish and Portuguese but my main menu didnt sync. Do I need to manually create it? In this case, I dont think I can because one of my menu item cannot be added manual. in my english menu i use courses menu item as a post archive. So now I cannot find to add it. Please, have a look to the uploaded image.

Also, it really not easy if I use this way to translate and build again my menu because I used a menu page builder.

Is there any other way to do it?

Hello,

Thank you for contacting WPML Support. I would need some more details before giving you a detailed reply as you request is still not clear to me. You had a menu in the default language, right? Then you need to replicate the changes you made in your default language menu to the translated meny using the WPML sync menu feature? Which menu item from your translated menus is missing in your default language menu? Please, provide me with these details so we can proceed with a detailed and accurate answer. Thank you for your collaboration, have a nice day.

I wanted to translate my menus. So I followed the second way of this article https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-menus/ the Automatic Menus Sync by WPML.

Instead, my main menu couldn't be sync so I had to create my main menu replica in Portuguese manual.

do you want ftp access?

Hello,

Thank you for the updates. I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Our Debugging Procedures

I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.

Privacy and Security Policy

We have strict policies regarding privacy and access to your information. Please see:
https://wpml.org/purchase/support-policy/privacy-and-security-when-providing-debug-information-for-support/

**IMPORTANT**

- Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.
- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this: hidden link

Please, let me know if you need any additional details. Have a nice day.

I want to add also the WP bakery page builder incompatibility. As you will see on my homepage versions of Portuguese it doesn't load the builder.

Hello,

Thank you for your patience while waiting for a solution. Regarding your menu issue let me explain, I see some weird issues in your website, the way you translated your website is not the wpml way of doing it. For example:

1 - You have several menu versions for the english language instead of keeping every menu in its respective languages, in your WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Menus it is possible to see menus for the different languages listed under the default language, for example:

1.1 - Main Menu (Primary)
1.2 - Main Menu - Spanish
1.3 - Main Menu Portuguese

2 - It is not the correct worflow to keep different menus versions under the same language, instead here is the correct workflow:

2.1 - Create your menu in your default language then add translation for it in your website secondary languages. In other works you have to keep every menu version under their respective languages, for example:

2.1.1 - In your WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Menus you should create your menu structure as you would do with any convetional WordPress menu navigation.

2.1.2 - Now you should add your translated menu versions using the WPML workflow for that. See attached screenshot (screen_customer_101.png). When clicking the plus icon you should be able to recreate your translated menu for its correct language.

See: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-menus/

3 - I understand you are trying to use the WPML Sync Menu feature to automatically recreate your menu for all the languages, but when doing so you need to have your pages created and translated in your website, currently you have another wrong workflow for your pages, instead of translated pages added for every respective language you have pages in several languages listed under your website default language. See attached screenshot (screen_customer_102.png). Instead of creating several pages versions under the same language, again you should use the WPML way to make that, something like:

3.1 - In your WordPress Dashboard > Pages add the page for your default language (english).

3.2 - Add the translated pages as a translation of your default language page using the WPML features for that.

See: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/

The conclusion: I recommend you to go trough your menus and create a translation for every desired menu items using our instructions for that, there's no issue in doing so even using the page builder to create you mega menu structure, you can make it for every different language using the dedicated menu option for that. See attached screenshot (screen_customer_103.png)

Page Builder Issues

Regarding your page builder issues, I recommend the following workflow:

1 - In your WordPress Dashboard > Pages click to edit the page where you see the issue (your homepage in your case).

2 - Using the language switcher at the top admin bar change to the language where the issue is happening.

3 - Click to activate the WPBakery backend editor for your page content and manually edit your page using the page builder in order to adjust it according your needs. See attached screenshot (screen_customer_104.png).

Please, let me know if the instructions above are of help or if you need any additional instructions and details, I am happy and ready to help. Have a nice day.
