When we translate posts with tags they seems to disappear after period of time from the translated post. For example when the post is translated the post has 8 tags and after a period of time only 3 remains.

Did you translate these tags into WPML> Taxonomy translation? Also, how are these tags being added? Do you add them manually? Or do you duplicate the post and the tags are duplicated as well?

By clicking on the Posts > Tags and switching to the secondary language, are the tags entered correctly?

The customer is doing the translation and they are using till classic translation tool and copies all the tags during that process. Then it seems that some of the posts lose a number of tags.

Hello, Bruno is off for a few days, so I'm stepping in to help out. I hope that is okay. First, Please try increasing the WP Memory Limit. Minimum requirements are 128Mb:

You can add this to wp-config.php to increase WP memory:

/** Memory Limit */
define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M');
define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );

Add it above the line /* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */

If this does not resolve the issue, I'd like to have you try a few things so we can try to isolate the issue. This is just to help me identify if it might be a conflict with another plugin or theme that is causing the problem.

** IMPORTANT ** Please backup a working copy of site files and database before continuing.

Update all WPML plugins & WordPress core.

Disable all plugins except WPML related and then temporarily change the theme to a default WordPress such as TwentySeventeen. With these settings, is the issue resolved?
