I am trying to rectify missing translations and incorrect data in my EDD Downloads posts.

I want to understand how to link an existing English (default) post with missing translations during the import process with WPML import.

I read the "import multilingual content with WPML and WP All Import" and understand that I just need unique IDs for new translation records.

But how do I find which records already have translations, and those that don't?

Thanks

Hello,
Thank you for contacting WPML support.
I will do my best to help you solve this issue.

1.- Could you tell me if the original EDD Download posts were imported too? If they were, did you assign them an ID while importing?

2.- Please increase the PHP Memory Limit. Minimum requirements are 128Mb: https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements/
You can add this to wp-config.php to increase WP memory:

/** Memory Limit */
define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '128M');
define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '128M' );

- Add it above the line /* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */

Kind regards,
Carlos

Hi Carlos

I have a mixture of original imported records (which were all imported correctly) and then manually added records, most of which had added languages created, and then some further imports that were added as (default) ENglish language only.
Using WP All Export produces the following type of records:

Hi,
Thank you very much for your feedback.

To find which records have translations you need to check if in the translations icons it has a plus symbol (+) which means that this item is not translated, if the icon is a pencil it means that the translation is up-to-date and if the translaltion is a refresh icon this means that the translation needs to be updated.

As an example you can go to the Dashboard -> Pages -> See the icons under the flags columns.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.
Best regards,
Carlos

Thanks Carlos
Checking the icon for status is OK for an odd record but not for 23,000
Where is this in the database, please?
Brian

Hi Brian,

In this case you need to look into the icl_translations table in your database. For a detailed explanation fo the structure of this table you can visit this link: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/wpml-tables/#language-information-and-translations

Carlos
