I am trying to add English version of our website via WPML plugin. And I had filled in all the English translation for each page. However, the status of the rotated arrow of each page is still turning and turning. It has turned for two weeks.

I expected to see new pages for English website. However, after two weeks, it only transfers 4 pages; others are still running.

How can I solve the problem?

Hi and thank you for contacting WPML Support!

I will be happy to help you with this.

Can you please just visit WPML > Translations, and then go back to your pages and see if they are still in the "gears" icon status?

If that's still happening, I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Our Debugging Procedures

I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.

Privacy and Security Policy

We have strict policies regarding privacy and access to your information. Please see:

**IMPORTANT**

- Please make a backup of the site files and database before providing us access.

- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box.

I will be waiting for your response.

hi, after checking the "gears" icon status, I found that some of them are still in gears icon, some with the indication of needing for update, and some are with "funnel" icon. How should I do for the next step?

Hi.

Can you please let me know if you were able to follow this step:
"Can you please just visit WPML > Translations, and then go back to your pages and see if they are still in the "gears" icon status?"

If you tried that and it did not work, I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Hi, I wonder if you're accessing our wp-admin? Our English website is now breaking down. Our customers can't visit our website.

Hello

Mihai is not available this week and so your ticket has passed to my queue. I can confirm that I have *not* yet accessed your site and am just now getting aquainted with the issue.

Would you like me to hold off from accessing your site until you tell me to?

Hi, yes. You can access our account and check why the English translation is still ongoing. It has been running for more than 3 weeks......
We can't add the pages for our new website because these pages are still running.

Please help.

Hello

I think this has to do with translator jobs that are not complete. For example, take this page: "參展花絮" (page id = 3961)

For this page, there are/were existing translation jobs assigned Chinese-> English (Zoe) and Chinese -> Chinese Simp (Jerry).

Because there were jobs already opened, the "gears" would not go away. In order to get this to the correct status, I created another translation job and assigned to myself (i.e. Stacy). This then allowed me to "complete" the translation and set the status of the job to complete.

In short, the situation you are facing is due to translators not finishing/closing translation jobs assigned to them here:
WPML > Translations

Even if you complete the translation by accessing the translation editor directly, the status will not change until the associated translation job that was created earlier is closed/completed/transferred to another translator.
