tesA

Background of the issue:
I have WPML installed successfully on hidden link. I have created an English version on kleidi.nl. I want to create a Finnish version on the domain name kleidi.fi and connect it with kleidi.nl. The English site is also on kleidi.nl(/en).

Symptoms:
I am unsure how to connect the Finnish version on kleidi.fi with the existing setup on kleidi.nl.

Questions:
How can I create a Finnish version on kleidi.fi and connect it with kleidi.nl?

Hi,

Before your ticket is assigned to one of my colleagues, I'd like to guide you through some initial debugging steps to speed up the support process.

I understand that you want the following URL structure:

- Dutch: hidden link (Domain)
- English: hidden link (Directory)
- Finnish: hidden link (Domain)

However, WPML does not support mixing different languages in directories and different domains at the same time. You can either:

1. Use different domains per language (e.g., English on a separate domain like kleidi.com instead of a directory).

2. Use directories for all languages under a single domain (e.g., Finnish as hidden link instead of kleidi.fi).

You can find more details in the FAQ section of this WPML guide: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/language-url-options/how-to-use-wpml-with-different-domains-per-language/#frequently-asked-questions

Let us know if this helps or if you need further assistance.
Thank you
