I did all my work in a staging site (hidden link) and when I completed it I published to the production site (hidden link). When I switch the language to French in the staging site it goes to the correct translation pages. But in the production site, it reverts back to a previous version of the site which was translated before WPML was used on the site.

I have followed the instructions in each of the following support tickets and help documentation:
https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/advanced-translation-editor/using-advanced-translation-editor-when-you-move-or-use-a-copy-of-your-site/#completing-migration-wizard
https://wpml.org/forums/topic/change-wpml-to-production-site/
Additionally
1. I have cleared the site's cache multiple times.
2. I have resaved the permalinks
3. I updated the internal links in the WPML settings
4. I used the WP Menus Sync
And about everything else I can think of, but nothing has changed the production site's link to the French translation.
Any additional ideas you can think of for making this work?

Hi,

Welcome to WPML support. Let's first do a check and see why this URL:

hidden link

Contains old content.

- Go to "WordPress Dashboard > WPML > Languages > Language URL Format".
- Check the "Language name added as a parameter" checkbox.
- Click the "Save" button.
- Go to "WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks".
- Click the "Save" button to flush the permalinks cache.

The steps above will force WPML to have the French language with this link format:

hidden link

See what happens then. If it works ok, then it shows there is a force redirection going on your hosting service provider and you need to ask for help from them.

You can turn back the option to " Different languages in directories" to see if now it works ok or not

Hi Christopher!
That resolved the issue! Thank you so much for the insight. I will look for the redirect to get it cleared out.
I'll keep this open until I get it all resolved.
Thank you!

Hi,

I'm glad that you managed to fix the issue. Yes, this ticket will be open for at least 10 days.

But in any case, if it is closed you are welcome to open up another chat and refer to this ticket:

https://wpml.org/forums/topic/my-production-site-doesnt-switch-to-the-same-translation-pages/

And we will follow up.

Thanks.
