This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:My translated page redirects to: 404 Not Found

Solution: go to WPML->Languages and switch your URL format to languages added as parameters instead of directories. When a site is installed in a directory and not the root directories cannot be used.

I am trying to:

So I added all the translations, that worked. However, when I go to the translated page it gives the following text:

Not Found
The requested URL /pl?page_id=72572 was not found on this server.

I already tried to look for some resolutions myself and found an older post by someone here. I went to my htacces file and added this: # BEGIN WordPress
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
</IfModule>
# END WordPress

but I can't still see the translated page. The normal with with the regular text works fine.
