Tell us what you are trying to do?
I need help on how to translate the content on homepage. The content are managed using ACF Pro and is part of the custom theme of our site.

Is there any documentation that you are following?
Was following the documentation below but I can't understand.
https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/translate-sites-built-with-acf/

Is there a similar example that we can see?
Compare the homepage hidden link with hidden link
All the ACF content on the French page is not shown.

What is the link to your site?
See above.

Hi there,

Welcome to our forum,

1) Please increase the PHP Memory Limit (your current setting is 96M). Minimum requirements are 128Mb:

https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements/

You can add this to wp-config.php to increase WP memory: if the code already exists kindly update the values.

/** Memory Limit */
define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M');
define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );

2) Increase PHP max input vars value to 5000, Your current value is 1000, you can request your host to update the value else if you have access to cpanel follow the below link
hidden link

Let me know the results

Kind regards
Raja

Hi,

Thanks for the update.

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your test site to take a better look at the issue. Could you please indicate me how to replicate this behaviour?

You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Maybe I'll need to replicate your site locally. For this, I’ll need to temporarily install a plugin called “Duplicator” on your site. This will allow me to create a copy of your site and your content. Once the problem is resolved I will delete the local site. Let me know if this is ok with you.

Kind regards
Raja

Hello there,

Since Raja currently has a few days off, I will replace him here in the forum. I hope this is OK for you 🙂

It seems you are not using the Advanced custom fields multilingual plugin, it's a required plugin to translate the ACF fields, could you please enable this? Once you enable this you should be able to translate those fields going to WPML->String Translation.

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks

Hi Shekhar:
Thanks for the quick response.
I believe I have installed the Advanced Custom Fields Multilingual plugin.
You can see that they are network activated already.
I can't seems to find the fields under WPML > String Translations.
Am I missing something?
Thanks
Ben

Hi Shekhar:
I think you can easily check that by logging in with the wpmladmin credentials I provided.
It is v1.1 and I downloaded that just a few days ago from my WPML account.
Given that it's v1.1, I reckon there are not many versions out there in the wild.
Regards
Ben

Hi Shekhar:
Thanks for that link.
That link stated that he could at least see "text" and "image".
But for me, I can't see anything at all.
There are a lot of strings (15,000+) -- and I can't even find one that I need.
What "domain" should I filter by for ACF?
Filtering by "acf" is just showing a bunch of irrelevant strings. I needed to just translate the content.
Thanks
Ben

Hi Shekhar:
In the https://wpml.org/forums/topic/certain-advanced-custom-fields-are-not-translated/#post-3376067 thread, Konrad said that there is a new dev version. What version is that? It also mention something about "ACF Options" but I can't locate where that is.
Can you advise?
Thanks
Ben

Hello there,

Can you provide me the network plugins privileges so I can check the plugins?

Further, did you downloaded the dev version as stated in the reply and installed it?

The page where you are adding contents to the homepage is ACF options page.

Look forward to your reply.

Thanks

H Shekhar:

(1) Done. I have just granted super admin privileges to the wpmladmin user. You should be able to check the network plugins.

(2) I did not download/install the dev version as stated in the reply as that post did not show the link to do so (i.e. the link was hidden).

(3) The page where I was adding the contents to the homepage is thru APPEARANCE > THEME SETTINGS.

Hope this helps and thanks again.

Thanks
Ben

Hello there,

You can download the dev version from here: hidden link

Once downloaded follow the same steps as mentioned in the linked ticket.

NOTE:

+ Make a backup (both files and database) for your site before updating/proceeding anything (Always a good practice!). You can use a plugin for this if you like. I often use the Duplicator plugin for this purpose. See: http://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/

The page where I was adding the contents to the homepage is thru APPEARANCE > THEME SETTINGS

Exactly, this page is created using ACF options page.

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks
