I am trying to:
use a simple dropdown menu into a yet working ninja-form

URL of (my) website where problem appears:
hidden link
(this is a staging copy, yet).

I expected to see:
A page without errors and warnings

Instead, I got:

Warning: Illegal offset type in isset or empty in ... /wp-includes/pomo/translations.php on line 85

Warning: md5() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in ... /wp-content/plugins/wpml-string-translation/inc/functions.php on line 710

Fatal error exception InvalidArgumentException: Translation name cannot be empty
*** I managed to solve this temporarly with this patch ***

I can't get rid of all the messages, even if I

- purged W3 Total cache
- set define('WP_DEBUG', false); define( 'WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false );

Steps to duplicate the issue:
Just add a dropdown menu into a simple test form in Ninjaform, then try it out.

Please take in consideration:

I updated ninjaform, and all the WPML plugins as well;
Deactivating WPML String translation plugin solves the issue;
Not including a dropdown menu into any form solves the issue;

Please consider this solution of yours here (italian)
where Vincenzo, trying solving a similar issue happening because of a theme compatibility suggests to locate a particular custom field and set it to "do not translate".

Please consider also this:
the errors show up on a Nginx server, while the very same website on a Apache environment do not show any.

Hello, Patrizio.

Thank you for contacting the WPML support forum.

When I visit the link to the page where the problem appears that you have shared above I can not see any error message.
Is it solved by now?

You write: "I can't get rid of all the messages, even if I
- purged W3 Total cache
- set define('WP_DEBUG', false); define( 'WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false );

Sometimes another line is required to hide errors messages on the front-end.
Please, try to add the following lines to the wp-config.php file in your WordPress installation.

define('WP_DEBUG', false);
define('WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false);

Also, it is important for me to mention here that the NinjaForms plugin is not a compatible plugin with WPML.
You can find the full list of our compatible plugins here.
If you are still experiencing issues with this plugin, it might be because of its incompatibility with WPML.

If you would like to help us make this plugin compatible, you can add its details here
and if it is wanted by many other users we will work with the author on making the plugin compatible.
You can also refer the author of the plugin to our 'Go Global Program' here.
