Hello,

AdForest theme is currently not listed as a verified compatible theme with WPML.
This does not mean it wont work but it does have a higher chance of not working as smooth as a compatible and tested theme

=> https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/

If you wish to request a refund please udr the following contact page and our Accounts team will further help you

=> https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds-policy/

Before making your decision i do suggest to review the following documentation

=> https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/

With WPML there are 3 main ways of translating content

1. Manually, that is where you add your translations either by using the classic translation editor or Advanced Translation Editor

2. Using the advanced translation editor to translate automatically , which gives you a free quota of 2000 words and additional words can be purchased as explained here

-> https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/advanced-translation-editor/#machine-translation

3. Using a translation service. You can send your translations to be created by a professional service

=> https://wpml.org/translation-service/

Kind Regards,
Bobby
if you have any questions please do feel free to ask me and i will do my best to help you and to make sure if you decide to continue using WPML that its set up as expected.

Thank you for uploading the theme

The dropdown menus in adforest theme don't work with "virtual" menu items like the ones WPML uses, because they query the database directly to build the submenus and WPML menu items aren't actually in the database.

at the moment it is not compatible to have a drop down menu with AdForest's theme

our compatibility team is currently aware of this issue and has contacted AdForest's theme author to resolve this and help them make their theme compatible but we have yet not received a reply

As a workaround please try the following and let me know your results

go to wp-content/themes/adforest/functions.php and at the bottom of the file add the following

function adforest_themeMenu($theme_location) {
    wp_nav_menu( array(
        'theme_location' => $theme_location,
        'menu_class' => 'menu-links'
    ) );
}

afterwards go to WPML->Languages->Menu language switcher and switch to list of languages instead of a drop down

you can see it working on the sandbox i provided earlier

Additionally the author might be more inclined to contact us if you also reach out to them and ask them to reach out to us to help them make the theme multilingual and compatible
