I am trying to: translate my OnePage Express Pro theme based site into English without having the looks changed in any way.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:

I expected to see: identical looks

Instead, I got: the icons in the red circles as seen on the German site are not visible in the English translation site. The background image in the section "why use consulting" is not with higher transparency as in the German site.
Also, I have the language switcher twice: in the menu and as a kind of widget (despite me not having turned on the widget sidebar option).

Hi and thank you for contacting WPML Support!

I will be happy to help you with this.

First of all, thank you for your patience and sorry for the delay - there's a good amount of tickets in our queue so it takes a bit longer to respond.

Now, regarding the issue that you are currently experiencing, I tried to see if there is any documentation the developers offer for translating the theme with WPML but I was not able to find anything.

Can you please try the duplication method below and see if translating the pages by using that method maintains the same design?

Here is the workaround that I was referring to:

Please let me know how that goes.

Kind regards,
Mihai Apetrei

Nope, this didn't solve the problem. Actually the problem got worse and my whole site crashed and luckily I could at least restore the original German site.
I am afraid WPML, despite all the great reviews, might just not be compatible with my wordpress theme. I will go for refund then as this doesn't really take me any closer to my goal.
But thanks anyway.

According to this link here (, WPML is compatible with the theme that you are using.

My guess is that there might be some incompatibility happening between WPML and one of the plugins that you are using or that there might be some custom fields for the CSS styles that are not getting copied.

1. Can you please let me know what is the page link where things don't look right?
2. I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Our Debugging Procedures

I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.

Privacy and Security Policy

We have strict policies regarding privacy and access to your information. Please see:

- Please make a backup of the site files and database before providing us access.

- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box.

The private box looks like this: hidden link

I will be waiting for your response.

Kind regards,
Mihai Apetrei
