I am trying to:
Translate the string "Time needed"

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:
hidden link

I expected to see:
The string translated to Swedish "Tid som behövs"

Instead, I got:
In English. I have found the string in WPML, and tried to do it manual. But it didn't work either.
It's the structer data How To block.

Hello,
Thank you for contacting WPML support.

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Our Debugging Procedures

I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.

Kind regards,
Carlos

Hi there,

If you edit this page -> Change 'Time needed' to 'Tid som behövs' and save the changes. Does the issue persists?

Regards,
Carlos

I don't know what page you mean.
I have tried to translate the string manualy, even if the string already was right in the first way.

Have you tried?

Hi there,

I edited the page in SV (hidden link) -> Clicked on the 'Convert to HTML' button -> Overwrite "Time needed" with "Tid som behövs" -> Saved the changes.

Could you confirm that the issue is solved?

Regards,
Carlos

Hi, this feels not like the right solution. I would like the string in WPML work as expected.
Now this is just a quickfix. Or?

For example. Now "Minutes" in 10 Minutes is still in english.
And when we want the page in danish, we still have the same problem.

Please tell me if this is something wrong with WPML or Yoast? I don't want to have quickfixes on the site, that we don't remember in the future.

I would like to do it in the proper way.

Kind regards

Hi there,

This is not a quick fix, this is the right way to write the content of a post. I'm not translating the content using WPML, just the WordPress Editor. You will be translating the content of this page when you click on the plus (+) symbol.

The 'minutes' word is not translated because you didn't provide the translation and I don't speak SV.

Please let me know if you still need my assistance and I will be more than happy to help.
Regards,
Carlos

Ok, but then you need to tell me what this string-traanslation is for.
My thought is if everything works fine, that string-translation should do this for us.

Kind regards,
Joakim

Hi Joakim,

The String Translation plugins is designed to translate all the strings in the site that are not part of the post's content. For instance: admin texts, options, slugs, etc.

The content inside the posts/pages should be translated following this steps: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/#how-to-translate-pages-posts-and-custom-posts

Best regards,
Carlos

Sorry for going on with this. But I'm not satisfied with the answer.

This text is not a part of the content. It's a pre-defined text in the structured data module.
And the string is in WPML, but it doesn't work. I send it again.

I know about how to translate content. But the solution you did for us now, is not the the same as the link you sent us now. Your solution is a third way to do it.
(1. String translation 2. Content translation. 3. Translation when the first two doesn't work)

I don't want to be rude, but I'm I want to know why the string doesn't work.
Until then I'm sure there is a bug in WPML and the "structured data translation".

Could you check with the team?

Hi,

I need to ask you what is the relation between the string 'Time needed' in the Yoast SEO Premium plugin and the content in the site? I'm taking another look at the site and this page and I can't find why you mentioned that this is the same string. I'm sorry in advance but I don't speak SV, so it makes it a little bit harder for me to understand why this HTML block is related to the mentioned plugin.

Regards,
Carlos
