Hello Ola, Our developers are working on a number of performance improvements in the upcoming versions of WPML so speed will improve. In the meantime I would encourage you to have a look at this article: http://wpml.org/2012/01/can-your-site-run-faster/ and especially under the section "Using WPML Better" and "Separate WPML’s Impact" |

Ola, You wrote: "I am not a programmer" The article I pointed you to was not written with programmers in mind so this should not be a problem. *** You asked: "Here's the strange thing, even when it's no traffic at all, the CPU has 100% peaks and never get below 25%?" Do you have the same results with the WordPress Twenty Thirteen default theme? |

When I disable every WPML- plugin the CPU% get down to zero. |

Thank you for getting back to me Ola. So do I understand this correctly? If you switch to the WordPress default theme with the WPML plugins active you do not get the same CPU results as you do when you use your custom theme. If this is correct then the problem is the theme you are using and not WPML. As fixing theme issues is beyond the scope of support we offer here at the WPML support forum I would suggest that you either contact your theme author or you request custom work assistance. If you choose to go with custom work assistance I would suggest you try this new service we have available: hidden link Alternatively you may like to consider contacting one of our certified partners from this link: http://wpml.org/documentation/support/wpml-contractors/ |

Could I ask you please to add the access details back in? I just edited my previous comment that that seems to have removed the details. (a bug that I must report to our forum developer) Sorry about this! |

Thank you. I took the liberty and I update WPML and its add-ons to their latest versions. I am running some tests right now following the information provided for us here: http://wpml.org/2012/01/can-your-site-run-faster/ and especially under the sections "Using WPML Better" and "Separate WPML’s Impact" 1. Default theme, WPML and WPML String Translation 2. Templatic theme, WPML and WPML String Translation 3. Templatic theme, WPML and WPML String Translation + your other plugins 4. Default theme, WPML and WPML String Translation + your other plugins I will upload the screenshots of the results when finished. |
