If it is OK with you, we can migrate a copy of your site there to further debugging.
To do the migration please follow these simple steps:
1) First deactivate temporarily any cache and security plugins
2) Install this plugin in your site: Cloudways WordPress Migrator (https://wordpress.org/plugins/bv-cloudways-automated-migration/)
3) After you activate it you will be redirected to the migration form
4) Fill it with this information:

---
The copy of your site will be online, but search engines won't index it (the copy) so you don't have to worry about duplicate content.
Thanks Nicolas, tried that this morning but the migration failed with the message: "Error while creating the table wp_postmeta. Please contact support team."
I am unable to ask for support without a cloudways platform account.
Tried another migration to see if it would work on the second try. Received the following error message: "Failed to read SFTP Packet. Please retry after some time."
We can try something else.
You need to temporarily install a plugin called “Duplicator” on your site. This will allow you to create a copy of your site and your content.
I have activated a private field for you where you can share those files (package + installer).
- You MUST exclude /wp-uploads and /cache from the copy to reduce the size (see screenshot)
- Once the package is ready, if the files are too large to upload them to the private field, you can share a link to Google Drive, Dropbox, WeTransfer or any other similar service.
Hi Nicolas, thanks for that guidance.
I have tried to create an archive of the hrmidev site using duplicator lite, but the operation times-out due to the size of the site.
I'll need to get back to the host at WPEngine and see if they can remove the php timing constraint.
I'll also need to confirm with the client that we should continue to pursue this fault.
Not sure how long this will take. Can we keep this thread open?
Kind regards,
Phil.
I'll keep that ticket opened and "waiting for your feedback" for 14 days. If you need more time, just write back to me.
If the copy is too heavy check if you can exclude other folders than /uploads and /cache on the next step. After Duplicator scans your site you will get a screen similar to the screenshot attached.
You can then check which files are heavy and filter them (for example you can filter old backup folders etc...)
