Tell us what you are trying
I tried to update the WPML plugins WPML Multilingual CMS, WPML String Translation and WPML Translation Management yesterday. I tried to update the WPML Multilingual CMS first but the update failed and I got the message that I need to register for WPML and insert a key.
I assume it is this key (see screenshot). Can you please confirm?
Will plugin updates be rolled out automatically after the registration? This is something I definitely want to avoid because I first want to do a backup then manually update the plugins and test my page.
Did you change anything on your end because I was never asked for a registration before?

Is there any documentation that you are following?

Is there a similar example that we can see?

What is the link to your site?

Hello,

Thank you for contacting WPML Support.

In order to receive automated updates, you need to register your site.
You can read more about this here: https://wpml.org/faq/install-wpml/#automated-updates

I've just checked our records & I can see that you have registered the URL's:
hidden link
hidden link

But your site URL in WordPress is hidden link (the site URL has https & www)

So please follow the steps:

1) Go to https://wpml.org/account/sites/
2) Delete already registered keys from the list.
3) Click on "Add New site" button
4) Copy paste the entire URL of your site (hidden link)
5) Try the new key.

Please let me know if this helps or if you need further assistance.

Thanks,
Rohan

Hi Rohan, thanks for your reply!
The issue was solved temporarily as I could update the plugins and the registration message was no longer displayed.

Could you kindly confirm that the steps in order to solve this registration issue are the ones you wrote in your previous message? (see below).
Do I really have to delete the already registered keys from the list. I want to be sure that this doesn't break anything.
I want to fix this registration problem as soon as possible because I think it causes layout issues on our translated pages.

"So please follow the steps:

1) Go to https://wpml.org/account/sites/
2) Delete already registered keys from the list.
3) Click on "Add New site" button
4) Copy paste the entire URL of your site (hidden link)
5) Try the new key."

Thank you so much!
