The language switchers are added and customized on the WPML -> Languages menu on your WordPress dashboard. Here you can choose where to display it and what information it will contain like names, flags, etc.

In your case, you need to go to the section related to your language switcher (probably menu language switcher), open the customization options and disable the "native language name" box in the "What to include in the language switcher" field.
