Hello.
After update of the plugin to the latest version and translating Ultimate WooCommerce Auction Plugin with your help. as we spoke I update the WPML and localization the new plugin and start translating it.
Since then the website start throwing me an 500 error.
From my hosting provider I had the info that there is a problem i with the languages and the plugin write new rules in my
public_html/.htaccess. :
Those are the wrong one:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /en/
RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . /en/index.php [L]

Those should be the right one:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . /index.php [L]

So as you can see the difference is in "RewriteBase" rule.
Is there anything that I can do whith your plugin to stop doing this.
We have WPML on our Demo website, which is not updated an it all works fine.
Thanks you
Galya

Hi,

Thank you for contacting WPML support!

You are probably experiencing this:
https://wpml.org/errata/htaccess-is-rewritten-with-language-folder/

It is not WPML plugin doing this, but some other plugin in combination with WPML.

Can you please try a workaround as defined on the above url or check if this issue appears when:

- only WPML plugins are activated, as it will tell us if there is an interaction issue with other plugin
- theme is set to a WordPress default like Twenty Nineteen as it will tell us if there is an interaction issue with your theme

That would help narrow down which plugin is causing this.

Regards,
Bruno Kos
