so i need proper way how to fix url errors etc.

I have multisite Original language is LT and everything auto translated to EN RU and LV

I cloned website to lv.amberglow.lt changed url to amberglow.lv in network settings. everything is fine, changed default language from LT to LV so just some products not showing etc etc. but main problem is some url still showing lv.amberglow.lt/lv etc and they not exist. because default language now is LV so should be amberglow.lv without any /lv or subdomains... woo products are fine, just manual urls i added to elementor widgets etc are wrong.

so i need sugestions how to fix or how to clone everything perfect.

Your AI told me to use better search and replace plugin, so i did from lv.amberglow.lt to amberglow.lv and now my website not working anymore.. because probably i changed with that plugin network url as well...

Hello,

Thank you for the additional details.

I understand the situation better now, and I can also see why the issue became confusing after changing the cloned site from **lv.amberglow.lt** to **amberglow.lv** and switching the site's default language from Lithuanian (LT) to Latvian (LV).

From what you described, there are actually two separate issues:

1. Some products not appearing in Elementor widgets when LV is the default language.
2. Incorrect URLs still pointing to old language paths or the previous domain (for example, `/lv/` URLs or references to `lv.amberglow.lt`).

The second issue is not related to WPML translations themselves. It is a consequence of the site cloning/migration process and the domain change. WPML can translate content and manage language URLs, but it cannot automatically update hardcoded URLs that were manually added in Elementor widgets, theme options, custom fields, or other plugin settings.

Regarding the broken site after running the search-and-replace tool, this likely happened because the tool modified values that should not have been changed during the migration. Unfortunately, diagnosing or repairing the effects of a third-party search-and-replace operation falls outside WPML support, and the plugin's support team would be in the best position to advise on recovery options.

For the URL cleanup, I would recommend:
- Restoring a backup taken before running the search-and-replace operation, if available.
- Verifying that the WordPress Address and Site Address are correctly configured.
- Reviewing Elementor templates, widgets, menus, theme options, and custom fields for hardcoded links that still reference the old domain or language structure.
- Resaving the WPML language URL settings and WordPress permalinks after the migration.

As for the Elementor product carousel issue, if that problem still exists after the site is restored and functioning correctly, please let us know which products are missing and whether the issue can be reproduced consistently. We can then investigate that specific WPML-related behavior separately.

I look forward to your update.

Hi sorry for delay, what basically happened with changing default language, if we changed language form LT to LV, in elementor widget in LV we cannot see some products, because they been added manually. I wonder if wpml should work like that, in every language if i check with elementor editor i see Lithuanian products added . They not supposed to be automatically changed to specific languages? If i edit EN or LV language i should see EN or LV products added in elementor editor.

Hi there!

This is Paola and I will continue with the ticket as Carlos is off.

From your description, it sounds like those products were manually selected inside the Elementor widget.

In that case, after changing the site's default language from LT to LV, WPML may not automatically replace those manually selected product references with their Latvian equivalents.

Could you please try editing one of the affected Elementor widgets and reselecting the products in the LV version of the page? This will help us confirm whether the issue is simply caused by the widget still referencing the original LT products.

If reselecting the products fixes the issue, then the behavior is related to the manual product selection stored in Elementor rather than a translation problem with the products themselves.

Looks like there is some errors or bug.. Because i dont see manually added products only in one language (LV), if i change language to EN, RU or LT i see them..

Hi,

Thank you for the update.

To better understand what is happening, could you please let me know the exact page where the issue can be seen?

It would also be helpful if you could provide:

- The URL of the affected page.
- The name of one product that is missing in Latvian (LV).
- The name of one product that displays correctly.

This will allow me to compare the product translations and verify whether the issue is related to the Elementor widget configuration, the product translation relationships, or the change of the site's default language.

Thank you!
