This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem: Product iamges not displayed on trasnlated archive page

Solution: Update WCML to 4.6.2.1 and peform the Media options in WPML > Settings [x] Translate existing media in all languages [x] Duplicate existing media for translated content [x] Duplicate the featured images for translated content

Hi there,

I am trying to fix missing products' pics/thumbnails in Bulgarian(second language); (English-primary language - everithing is OK):

same applies to categories/tags pages

but in second language - Bulgarian
for shop page/categories and tag pages - product pics are missing even all pictures are media translated

Kindly apologize for the issue with the update.

We have already identified the issue, the issue is now escalated and notified to our developers.

There are two possible workarounds for now that you can try

1- Rollback to previous WCML version (4.5) you can get the previous WCML version from https://wpml.org/download/woocommerce-multilingual/?section=changelog,

(OR)

2- If you can handle a quick fix in the code.
Please open the file class-wcml-products.php located in the path wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-multilingual/inc/class-wcml-products.php

Approximately at line 689 comment the line

$data['_product_image_gallery'] = null;

Our developers are also working on the fix. the update will be released soon once the testing is done.

Hello,

Currently my class-wcml-products.php line 689 is already set to 1
$data['_product_image_gallery'] = null;

but still product pictures are not shown in product/tag/category tabs(in second Language). Single product images are OK though.

Hi Metodi,

The line should be commented like

//$data['_product_image_gallery'] = null;

That will fix your issue. However, Our developers have released an official fix in the updated version 4.6.1 kindly update the WooCommerce multilingual plugin to the version 4.6.1

I have checked your site seems like the issue is related to thumbnails not properly generated for the translation. Please clone your site to our private server in order to isolate and have a detailed investigation about the issue. Please check my previous private reply for details about migration.

I have tested the site, It seems like the issue is happening only with the existing product, I tried to add a new product the image of that product display without any issue. hidden link

Can you please confirm whether the issue happened after an update? Does it use to work well before?

HI there,

Thanks for your patience. We have released a new update to WooCommerce Multilingual version 4.6.2.1 please update to the latest version it should resolve your issue.

If you still have issues after the update
- Backup your site and database
- Goto WPML > Settings>Media translation
select the options
[x] Translate existing media in all languages
[x] Duplicate existing media for translated content
[x] Duplicate the featured images for translated content
And click on start, Wait for the process to complete.

The above steps resolved the issue in the cloned version of your site.
