This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
When an order is placed for a product with variations, different variations appear for the customer and the shop admin. For example, a customer orders a product with the color 'Medium', but the shop admin sees 'Light', and the variation ID is different.
Solution:
The cause for this problem appeared to be that those products were earlier translated with the Classic Translation Editor and the order of the attributes was not repsected when creating the translation.
1) Set the translation method to Classic Translation Editor at WPML > Settings.
2) Update the product's translation using the Classic Translation Editor.
3) Switch the translation method back to Advanced Translation Editor.
4) If the issue persists, repeat the process by updating the translation in the Classic Translation Editor and then editing the original product and translating it with the Advanced Translation Editor.

Hello,

The problem still occurs. I made a test order and then I see in the admin page of the order the color medium, but the shop manager sees the color Light.

Also, I am afraid your last example is a different product. I fixed the issue only on the Spanish product "Corrector de maquillaje...".

You are now referring to "Base de maquillaje Evovisage Smart" which has the same issue.

I have fixed it now. Please test again now with a new order.

Thank you for your message!

If you wonder how I fixed the issue:
1) At WPML > Settings, I set the translation method to Classic Translation Editor
2) Then I updated the product's translation

As you can see here, the issue seems to have been that the products were earlier translated with the Classic Translation Editor, and the order of the attributes was not respected.

3) Then I switched the translation method back to Advanced Translation Editor

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Hi

I just made a test with Base de maquillaje Evovisage Smart - Light

There is still a problem. See the screenshots - order confirmation and in the admin. I ordered light but I see it says medium in the admin panel.

Reviewing the translated product, it still shows the issue. See screenshot.

I fixed this now using the earlier suggested workaround:
1) Change to Classic Translation Editor
2) Update the translation

After that, I edited the original product and this time translated it with the Advanced Translation Editor. The issue did not occur again.
