Hi,

I have a small issue on hidden link

When adding products with variations to the cart (for instance a poster: hidden link ), the variations do not always show correct translation in the cart.

This happens when you change the language when on the cart-page.
If I refresh the page, translations is then suddenly correct.
This is happening in the html - not with javascript. (I've checked the source-code).

No cache plugins enabled on the site.

Hello,
Thank you for contacting WPML support.

1.- I would like to ask you to follow this steps in order to isolate the cause of the issue:
- Back up your site first before making any change, this is for security reasons.
- Deactivate all the plugins that are not related to WPML.
- Switch for a moment to a WordPress default theme like Twenty Seventeen.
- If the issue is gone, activate one by one to see with which one there is an interaction issue.

Could you tell me the result of this steps?

2.- Please increase the PHP Memory Limit. Minimum requirements are 128Mb: https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements/

You can add this to wp-config.php to increase WP memory:

/** Memory Limit */
define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '128M');
define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '128M' );

- Add it above the line /* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */

Kind regards,
Carlos

Hi!

I've tried all above suggestions on a local installation, using wordpress's twentyseventeen-theme and only these plugins:

WooCommerce
WooCommerce Multilingual
WPML Media
WPML Multilingual CMS
WPML String Translation
WPML Translation Management

The bug does not occur anymore when disabling WPML Media, which is required for Woocommerce Multilingual to work properly. (Although the sites seems to work well without WPML Media)

Hi Daniel,

Thank you very much for your feedback.

I would like to ask you to follow this steps:
- Create a full backup of the site for security reasons.
- Make sure the product you are adding to the cart is translated.
- Go to Woocommerce -> Woocommerce Multilingual -> Settings tab -> Troubleshooting link -> Sync all products
- Go to WPML -> Media Translation -> Select all options in the second section and save the changes -> Then select all option in the first section and click Apply ( https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/media-translation/#duplicating-attachments-existing-content )
- Go to WPML -> Languages -> Language filtering for AJAX operations -> Select the option and save the changes.
- Go to WPML -> Support -> Troubleshooting link -> Click on 'Clear the cache in WPML' button.
- Flush all cache memory that might exists in the site.

If the issue persists activate a default WordPress theme and check if the issue persists with that change.

Could you tell me the result of this steps?

Kind regards,
Carlos

Hi Carlos,

Thank you for your reply.

The issue still persist.

I've tried with both twentyseventeen and theme currently active at michellecarlslund.com, and only previous posted active plugins, which all are uptodate.

It seems to work great when disabling WPML Media, but then, og course, I can't access the WooCommerce › Woocommerce Multilingual page.

Hi Daniel,

I would need a sites snapshot if possible.
We usually recommend the free Plugin “Duplicator” for this porpoise.

If you already know how Duplicator works (http://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/),
please skip the following steps and just send me the installer file and the zipped package you downloaded.

★ Duplicator Instructions: hidden link

Send me both files (you probably want to use DropBox, Google Drive, or similar services, as the snapshot file will be quite big)

❌ IMPORTANT ❌
Remember to create or keep an admin account for me before creating the snapshot, or I won’t be able to login. You may delete the new admin account once the snapshot has been built.

I will enable your next answer as private so you can provide me the information securely.

Kind regards,
Carlos

Hi Daniel,

The Duplicator package throws an error when I try to install it. Could you provide access to the site? This way I can try to make the Duplicator copy myself.

You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Kind regards,
Carlos

Hi Daniel,

It seems that you have a mixed install :

1. Two product global attributes with same name "Size" and created in "EN"
2. One term of Size attribute in "DA" language
3. Most of the products in "DA" and translated to "EN" but default language is "EN"

Our developers have deleted one translation (in local) for "Size" in WPML -> String Translation and it fixed the problem.

To solve this issue you need to fix all inconsistency in the install to make site works properly ( this is important for sites which using "Da" or "De" languages because they have special symbols which converted differently ).

Please let me know if you need further assistance.
Best regards,
Carlos
