Hey Martin,

Thank you for reaching out to the WPML support!

I'm not familiar with QuadMenu so I had to search a bit for this tool. Can you tell me if this is the plugin that you're using, please?
https://wordpress.org/plugins/quadmenu/

I just want to install it on my website and see if I can replicate this issue. Also, it would be great if you could tell me exactly what you're trying to do and what are the guidelines that you are following so I can check them out.

Thanks,
Radu

Hey Radu,

Thanks for assisting....

Yes, that is the plugin. I use it with AVADA and "Avada Mega Menu – QuadMenu".

1) Translations: + German
2) Synchronize menus between languages.

It sync's the first level of the menu. Without any options to put the mega menu content in.

Hey Martin,

I am not familiar with the Quad Menu so I had to install everything from scratch (Avada theme, Avada Mega Menu, and WordPress Mega Menu plugin). I followed the instructions from this article:
hidden link

and I created the menus in both languages from my website. As I can see, this plugin (Mega Menu) is not a part of our WPML compatible plugins (https://wpml.org/documentation/plugins-compatibility/) so there might still be some compatible issues with WPML.

In this case, I think that the only option to use this plugin with WPML is to go to Appearance → Menus and edit the menus. You can easily edit the menu in secondary language by using the button from the right side, right over the Save Menu button.

Also, you can reach out to the Mega Menu plugins and ask them to apply for the Go Global program (https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/go-global-program/). This way, they'll work with our compatibility team to make sure that perfect between those two. We have a dedicate team for compatibility that can take of this.

Thanks,
Radu
