This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

Redirect a domain to a language of my website when the site is defined as languages in directories.

Solution:

You would need to configure your DNS server for this, and this is out of the scope of this forum.

Hello,
I have a domain called hidden link and I want it to show the russian version of my website which is hidden link.
The provider of hidden link told me I have to change the webserver configuration.
On hidden link I have Yoast SEO but I can't use it for redirection (it says: You're redirecting to a target that returns a 301 HTTP code (permanently moved). Make sure the target you specify is directly reachable).
Now, what should I do?
Thanks.

Hi.

If I understand you correctly then the site on hidden link is configured to have languages in directories. And you are using WPML and have Russian as the second language (not default). In addition, hidden link is another domain that you own which currently has no site installed for it.
Is it correct?

If it is correct then I would say that making it possible would be out of the scope of this forum and as your provider told you, you need to change the web server configuration. Or more accurately you need to change the DNS server configuration. The web is full of explanations on how to do it. Here is a link that I've found for you that I think might be helpful.
hidden link

Nevertheless, if you want to configure the site on to be a domain per language (WPML -> Language -> Language URL format) then you would be able to have hidden link displayed for your site's users at hidden link.
Here the links to our documentation on Language URL format.
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/#language-url-format
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/language-url-options/
And this is the link to our documentation on what is needed to make it possible on the server side.
https://wpml.org/2016/04/use-wpml-different-domains-per-language/

But you should know that if you choose the domain per language option and you have other languages on your site, then you will need to have a domain also for those other languages.

I hope that this information is helpful to you.

Regards,
Itamar.
