This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Can't update WPML because the site key is invalid.
Please try these steps:
-login to your wpml.org account. - Go to https://wpml.org/account/sites/ look for your current key and erase it. -on your site please go to Plugins > Add new > Commercial tab - Click on the "Unregister WPML from this site" button -click 'Register WPML' -click 'your account' link. this will create a new key for your site. take note of the new site key. - Try also disabling the "Keep wpml.org up-to-date about which theme and plugins I use" option -Try to update the plugins
