I'd like to register a just-installed new site for WPML. I uploaded WPML core and I want to register it as usual, but I can not save registration key, nothing happens!
I use 2017 default theme without any (except Activity Log) plugin installed.
The only difference from standard registration that I use cookieless subdomain for serving wp-content directory's content ( for performance improvement purposes )
So this is added to wp-config.php:
define( 'WP_CONTENT_DIR', dirname(__FILE__) . '/wp-content' );
define("WP_CONTENT_URL", "hidden link");
I have other sites where I use the same config, they work with WPML properly, but the difference is that there first was WPML installed and registered and later static subdomain set and configured.
I prefer not to restart the whole install and config process of this site, so do you have any workaround of it?
For some reason, after 3+ hours finally I could register it.
Maybe static subdomain's DNS record propagation took so long, I don't know...
