This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is unable to activate their purchased WPML registration on the website, despite having renewed their subscription. They are caught in a loop with messages indicating that the account is expired.
Solution:
1. Navigate to WP Dashboard Menu >> Updates.
2. Click the "Check again" link.
3. Go to Plugins >> Add New Plugin > Commercial tab and click on the “Refresh account status” button (if available).
If the problem continues:
1. Log in to your WPML.org account and visit the Sites page: https://wpml.org/account/sites/
2. Delete the existing site key.
3. Log in to your site and navigate to Dashboard >> Plugins >> Add new > Commercial tab and click the Unregister WPML from this site link (if available).
4. Click the Register WPML link.
5. Click the Get a key for this site link to generate a new key.
6. Copy the new key, paste it into the input box, and press the Register button.

I am trying to:

Get the purchased registration activated on the website.

I expected to see:

Instead, I got:
- Your account expired
- Got renewal already -> Check my order status
- You are using an expired account of WPML
- Do you have an account on wpml.org? -> YES
- Great! You just need to extend your subscription. -> SUBSCRIPTION IS ALREADY RENEWED
- Have you already renewed your license? -> Refresh account status
- You are using an expired account of WPML
- Do you have an account on wpml.org? -> YES
- Great! You just need to extend your subscription. -> SUBSCRIPTION IS ALREADY RENEWED

etc etc
it turns in a loop.....

PLEASE ADVISE HOW TO GET IT ACTIVATED ON THE WEBSITE!!

Thank you for contacting WPML Support. Could you please follow the below steps and let me know how it goes:

1. Please go to WP Dashboard Menu >> Updates.
2. Press the "Check again" link.
3. Now please go to the Plugins >> Add New Plugin > Commercial tab and click on the “Refresh account status” button(if that button exists)

If the issue persists, please try the below steps and let me know how it goes:

1. Please login to your WPML.org account >> Go to the Sites page: https://wpml.org/account/sites/
2. Delete the existing site key.
3. Please login to your site and go to the Dashboard >> Plugins >> Add new > Commercial tab and click the Unregister WPML from this site link if that link exists.
4. Then please click the Register WPML link.
5. Click the Get a key for this site link.
6. It will generate the Key for your site.
7. Copy the key, and paste it back into the input box, and press the Register button.
