Background of the issue:
I'm trying to upload and save different media per languages on my site hidden link using WPML.
Symptoms:
The 'Save media translation' button is not active after uploading media.
Questions:
How to fix inactive 'Save media translation' button?
Previous supporter gave me the suggestion: sending debug log and communication log. Here is the debug log log link: hidden link. Where should I send communication log?

Hello,
Welcome to the WPML support forum. I will do my best to help you to resolve the issue.
Please Increase *WP Memory Limit* to *256*(the minimum required memory limit for WPML is *128*) and check if is there any difference in the result. Please check the following links for more details
https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements/
https://wordpress.org/support/article/editing-wp-config-php/#increasing-memory-allocated-to-php
If the problem remains, we have a couple of requests to track the bug
1) Please share access to the following file. I have requested access to it.
hidden link
2) Please share a screencast for a better understanding of the bug. You can share it via Google Drive. It will help us a lot in our internal communication.

Hello,
Mr. Bigul. First options didn't help. I shared access for requested file and also shared a screencast and screenshot of the bug.

|
Hello,
Thank you for the updates and screencast. The Debug.log is not showing any warning or error related to WPML.
This may be a compatibility issue like this ticket - https://wpml.org/forums/topic/i-cant-save-the-translation-pic-from-media/#post-15554107
Therefore to make sure if possible, please do the following steps.
a) Backup your site first[Mandatory]
b) Switch for a moment to a WordPress default theme like 2025
c) Deactivate all the plugins that are not related to WPML
d) Then check whether the issue exists or not
e) If the issue is gone, activate the plugins as a group of three or four to find which one has an interaction issue
f) Switch back to the original theme of the site

Bigul, is there any other more safe way to detect the issue?

Hello,
Thank you for the updates. This requires further testing. So it would be great if you could consider a staging site (a clone copy of the live site in a similar environment). So we can troubleshoot the bug without affecting your live site.

Hello,
Thank you for the login information. Just to make sure, hidden link is your live site or staging site? Because we will be doing some testing and changes on the site (like upgrading to the latest version of all the plugins, switching the theme, etc.. ). Please confirm.

Hi Bigul
It's the live site.

Yes, I confirm that I took a backup, you can do testings you needed.

Hello,
Thank you for the updates. I had a few rounds of testing after upgrading to the latest version of the plugins and WPML Troubleshooting steps - https://wpml.org/documentation/support/wpml-troubleshooting-options/
It is working fine when only WPML plugins are active with the default 2025 theme. So I switched back to the *Medilink* theme and activated the plugins as a group of three. It works as expected when RT Framework is inactive. So most probably a compatibility conflict with this plugin.
Please check it now and let us know your feedback. Refer to the attached images for more details.

Hi Bigul,
I see, thank you very much for assistance. RT Framework is required plugin of the theme, what if I after uploading and saving necessary media reactivate RT Framework plugin, will it be good solution, will it work?
|
|
|
Hello,
Thank you for the feedback. You can try it as a workaround for the time being.
The *Medilink* theme and *RT Framework* plugin is not included in our compatibility list.
Therefore it would be great if you could contact RadiusTheme and request them to be in touch with our compatibility team. So we can avoid this bug in the future. Refer to the following links for more details.
