I am trying to get my site to load faster.

In webmaster tools (Time spent downloading a page (in milliseconds)) I get bad results and when using P3 profiler 2,4 sec is used to load Sitepress Multilingual Cms and 1,8 sec for Wpml String Translation. Basically P3 is giving me the same results as Webmaster tools 5.5 sec average load time.

Hello and thank you for contacting WPML support!!

1)
Can you please check next link:
=> http://wpml.org/2012/01/can-your-site-run-faster/

2)
I can see that you are suing W3 Total Cache plugin. For this plugin if you are using Disk caching ( even the enhanced version ) please deactivate it as its the main cause of slowness.

Also, Can you plase give a try by deactivating W3 Total Cache plugin?

After disabling page cache in W3 Total Cache I got the following results (making it worse):

W3 Total Cache - 1.5549 sec - 21.11%
Wpml String Translation - 1.0450 sec - 14.19%

After disabling W3 Total Cache I got these results:

Wpml String Translation - 0.5886 sec - 34.69%

With W3C enabled I got in webpagetest.org a first view time to render of 1.5 sec and a repeat view of 0.8 sec.
Now (after disabeling W3C) I have a first run of 2.2 sec and a repeat view of 0.17 sec but a terrible first byte time on first render.

What's your take?

1)
In order to isolate the issue I would suggest that you should run a test by deactivating all non-WPML plugins + by switching your theme to default and check your issue.

2)
Try to increase your memory by adding next lines to your wp-config.php file.

define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' );
define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' );

Set the theme to twenty fifteen and set memory to 512MB
I've run it with everything disabled except P3 profiler and WMPL

and Webpage test similar results a before (1.727 sec and a repeat view of 0.643s sec but a terrible first byte time on first render).

and after disabeling P3 profiler I ran Webpage test again with the same results.

I've enabled all the plugins again.

I have a few concerns regarding the update to the beta version after reading http://wpml.org/2015/01/wpml-3-1-9-beta-supports-object-caching/

I'm running PHP version 5.3.29, W3 Total Cache everything runs on disk and most important of all my site is like 50 pages big (not a big site at all).

I'll try it if you confirm the beta is suited for this issue and my site.

Personally I'd rather like to wait until it is out of Beta.
Do you have any ETA?

I do not have ETA but I can tell you it will be as soon as possible. You do not have to wait for for long period.
