even with the latest versions of your plugins gets the table icl_string_pages very big (about 400 MB, 5.300.000 rows). It makes automatic DB backups very slow. Is it possible to truncate this table on a regulary basis (cron job)?

May be you can provide a SQL query to find out what causes the size (e.g. plugins)?

I'll help you with this. Thanks for the debug info.

The problem with the large size of the icl_string_pages table is resolved now by updating our plugin to the latest versions. I see that you have already updated so this will not re-occur in the future. After this table is brought down to a normal size, it will not need to be truncated.

I see that you have WPML String Translations
* Did you recently update this plugin?
* Please deactivate/activate String Translations and check the size of the table.

I did so as adviced (deactivate/activate), the table is now 0 rows, I will look at it and come back in one or two days - lets see how the table growth!

Thanks for letting me know. This table should increase to a natural size as you scan strings and continue to use WPML. Please let me know if you continue to have any performance issues related to this.

problem solved, table is now about 12 MB and not growing!
