Hi,

The thing is that a little while ago the wpml did show the images in translations and I could translate the images. But now it does not show images, shows only some of the images or shows deleted images from the original language page. I think that this behavior is not normal and it should show all the images. What could be the reason for that? Could it be fixed?

Best regards,
Lauri

Hi Lauri,

The images should be translated using Media Translation as I mentioned before. As a demonstration I deactivated all plugins in the site except WPML plugins and you can see that the images don't appear in the Classic Translation Editor.

Best regards,
Carlos

Hi,

But why could I translate the images before? Did something change in your plugin or is it a cache problem?

Best regards,
Lauri

Hi Lauri,

Our plugins have been updated and some changes have been applied to the code. To rule out any possible issue with your site the best way is to compare the behavior in a new site. For this reason I have create a test site with a fresh new WordPress installation and WPML plugins installed and setup. I would like to ask you access this test site using the following link: hidden link then install Divi and try to reproduce the behavior with a minimal information.

Could you tell me if the behavior is the same that in your live site? Are you able to see the images in the Translation Editor?

Regards,
Carlos

Hi,

I found a new problem on page translation. When translating a page hidden link to ENG language the „full width code“ section (HTML code) is missing on my page translation, but when I saved the translated page then the section appeared in original language. Could you please check what could be the issue with that. I attached also a images of the section.

Best regards,
Lauri

Hi,

Today I viewed my media library and for my surprise all the images that I have deleted previously are back in my media library. Can this isse be related to the one we have been talking before? What could be the reason for that?

Best regards,
Lauri

Hi Lauri,
Thank you for your update.

I visited the migrated site and applied this steps:
- Updated Divi theme to its latest version.
- Deactivated all non essential plugins.
- Installed WP File Editor plugin.
- Edited wp-config.php file and increased the memory limit plus commented the cache line:

/*define('WP_CACHE', true);*/

- Then I went to WPML -> Support -> Troubleshooting link and applied the troubleshooting steps.

I would like to ask you to visit the migrated site and edit the front page -> Make some changes -> Save the changes -> Update the translation and let me know if the issue persists.

Looking forward to your message.
Best regards,
Carlos

Hi,

I followed the steps - made a change on the front page (changed some text), saved the changes, clicked on the edit ENG and then copied all fields from original and the issue unfortunately still persists. But now on the page translation page appeared a whole lot more images than before - the images that appeared are the ones that I deleted a very long time ago from the front page.

Best regards,
Lauri

Hi Lauri,

I suspect that for some reason the images hasn't been de-attached to the homepage. I would like to ask you to follow this steps in the test site:
- Edit the homepage in the original language -> See which images shouldn't be there -> Get the names of the files or the titles of the images.
- Go to Media library in English -> Set the images to be shown as a list instead of a grid -> Search the images and in the 'Uploaded to' column click 'Detach'

Could you tell me if the issue is solved after the steps above?

Regards,
Carlos
