This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
After connecting the site to translation memory and retranslating the previously translated content was consuming the credits again.

The option to "Leave existing translations as they are" or "Overwrite existing translations" was not appearing.

Solution:
Please note that the said options may not appear if the content hasn't been translated already (like translating anew) or in the client's case, reinstalling WPML and connecting to existing translation memory which is somehow the same as you're translating new content.

In this case, please follow the exact steps, so your credits are not consumed and you get that "Leave existing translations as they are" option:

- Go to WPML -> Translation Management Dashboard.
- Select one of the content which show translated already (like there's a green tick mark under flags).
- And then select the content which needs translation and showing small red "i" in circle.
- Then select to translate automatically.
- Then select "Leave existing translations as they are".
- Then click "Translate" button.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

I've refunded 8,248 credits consumed so far (72,940 - 64,692). Now credits show 64,692 (as you told earlier before starting translation).

Next please follow the exact steps, so your credits are not consumed and you get that "Leave existing translations as they are" option:

- Go to WPML -> Translation Management Dashboard.
- Select one of the pages which show translated already (like there's a green tick mark under flags, as shown in the attached screenshot).
- And then select the pages which need translation and showing small red i in circle (as shown in the same screenshot).
- Then select to translate automatically.
- Then select "Leave existing translations as they are".
- Then click "Translate" button.

This way no additional credits should be consumed.

I've also recorded my screen to show about how to select the content, please watch hidden link.

Okay, dear, thank you. I will do as you suggest.
Please tell me, if I translate a page but want to cancel the translation, return to the pre-translation version, and transfer the automatic translation credit back to me, what should I do? Just like you transferred the translation credit for some pages back to my account, how exactly should I do this? Thank you.

Well that's not possible, the credits you've used to translate a page, can not be reversed. We can only refund the credits which are due to our fault.

However, to cancel a job simply go to WPML -> Translation Management -> Translation Jobs and there you can find a trash icon (on far right side of a job) and cancel it. Only in-progress jobs can be cancelled. Once a job has been completed, it can't be cancelled.

Dear, thank you for your reply.
I am translating all the content, and I have already translated some of it. WPML recommends that I install the WPML SEO plugin. Should I install it? How do I use WPML SEO after installation?

Thank you for the updates, glad that translation is going well. If you think everything is going well, please feel free to close this ticket as resolved.

For the WPML SEO plugin, it is recommended to use with Yoast SEO and Rank Math SEO (whichever you prefer to use). Please see https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/wpml-seo/ for details. If you need more help regarding WPML SEO, please free to open a new/separate ticket or chat.

Have a great weekend.

Deer sir, I am using WPML to translate my website, hidden link, and I am experiencing an issue with the Arabic translation.

Symptoms:
The Arabic page at hidden link has become smaller.

Questions:
What should I do to fix the Arabic page size issue?

For the other question/issue (other than originally reported in this ticket), I recommend opening a separate ticket/chat because as per forum policy we can only handle one issue per ticket/chat. So you can get more to the point help, without mixing up several issues in one long ticket.
