This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client needed to know how many translation credits are required for translating specific pages and custom post types, and whether credits are consumed when switching languages on the site.
Solution:
We advised the client to check the word count for the desired pages and post types by navigating to WPML → Translation Management and selecting the relevant items. To calculate the required translation credits, we recommended using the WPML automatic translation pricing calculator, which can be found here: Automatic Translation Pricing Calculator.
Additionally, we clarified that translation credits are only used for creating new translations. Once content is translated, it does not incur any further charges when users switch between languages.

We also highly recommend checking related known issues at WPML Known Issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins.
