This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client reported issues with WPML and Tutor LMS on a WordPress site, where after translating a Polish course, the menu items and language switchers were not displaying correctly in Polish, Danish, and Slovenian. Additionally, a critical error occurred in Tutor LMS when accessing a translated Polish lesson page, indicating a disconnection from its parent course.
Solution:
We identified that the client had pages and courses with the same names and slugs in multiple languages, which likely caused the navigation and course access issues. We advised the client to:
1. Ensure that all course elements, including topics, lessons, quizzes, and other components, are fully translated. Refer to the Tutor LMS WPML documentation: https://docs.themeum.com/tutor-lms/addons/wpml/
2. Delete any duplicate pages that might conflict with the course pages.
3. Create a dedicated Tutor LMS dashboard/course page in the default language, configure it in Tutor LMS settings, and then translate it using WPML to ensure correct page usage across languages.
4. Edit the pages to have unique slugs across the default language and translated pages, ensuring they do not match the course slugs.
If these steps do not resolve the issue or if the solution seems outdated or not applicable to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins.
