Hi and thank you for contacting WPML Support!

I will be happy to help you with this.

First of all, thank you very much for your patience and sorry to have you waiting - there is a very full ticket queue at the moment and it takes us a bit more than usual to answer tickets.

Now, regarding your request:

1. Can you please show me a screenshot of the exact part of content that you are trying to translate?

2. Can you please let me know what's the link/name of that page/post that you are trying to translate?

3. I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Our Debugging Procedures

I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.

Privacy and Security Policy

We have strict policies regarding privacy and access to your information. Please see:
https://wpml.org/purchase/support-policy/privacy-and-security-when-providing-debug-information-for-support/

**IMPORTANT**

- Please make a backup of the site files and database before providing us access.

- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box.

The private box looks like this: hidden link

I will be waiting for your response.

Kind regards,
Mihai Apetrei

Hi and thank you for your patience.

There's a good amount of strings in the screenshots that you sent and the translation procedure is different depending on where and how the strings are added inside the content.

I will attach multiple screenshots so that you can see where I find strings that are ready to be translated.

For example, the word "Locations" can be found if you go to WPML > String Translation > add the "locations" keyword inside the search box, check the "exact match" checkbox and search. The string is there, NOT TRANSLATED at the moment, all you have to do is to click on the "translations" blue link, translate it, mark it as translated and save.

You will see that a good amount of strings I was able to find straight into WPML > string Translation.

However, I will attach 2 screenshots where I will need to understand how and from where you added that content in - if you have links from the backend where I can find that content in the original language, that would help a lot (I see that you used WP Bakery to build up the pages but I can't find the content in the backend).

I will be waiting for your response.

Kind regards,
Mihai

Hi and thank you for the attached information.

1. From what I can see, you are using the Revolution slider for that section. Can you please let me know if you had the chance to take a look at the steps in the documentation below: https://wpml.org/documentation/plugins-compatibility/creating-multilingual-sliders-with-revolution-slider-and-wpml/

2. For the widget translation, can you please try to follow the same steps from the link below and see if that solved the issue?

Please let me know how that goes.

I will be waiting for your response.

PS: Just a note that I won't be working on the weekend so I will be able to get back to you at the beginning of next week.

Kind regards,
Mihai

Thank you for your patience.

After I spent some more time, it seems that the site is using some very old versions of different plugins.

For example, the site is using:

- Revolution slider version 5.4.8.3 (while the latest version, according to the following link is 6.1.8 - hidden link)
- WP Bakery has an available update here, too (hidden link)

My recommendation is that you first create a full backup of the site and then update them to the latest version.

For the Slider Revolution, it doesn't show up that there's an available update because I think that you got Slider Revolution from the theme that you are using or from somewhere else. So you would have to download the plugin from the original source, uninstall the current one and install the new one. But please, don't forget about the backup first.

For translating the widgets, can you please let me know if you tried the method that I sent you in this link below:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-widgets/displaying-different-widgets-for-different-languages/

That should be easier to do, practically all you would have to do is duplicate the current widget (create a new one) and at the bottom of each widget, select which language you want to show it on.

I will be waiting for your response.

Kind regards,
Mihai
