Hi, I just added the String translation plugin to my site and I was expecting to see it added to the WPML menu but I can't see it? And I can't see it anywhere else either? Please help!

Hi,

Thank you for contacting WPML support.

As per your WPML debug info you do not even have the WPML main plugin.

Please install all latest versions of WPML plugins.
You can check the latest versions here: https://wpml.org/account/downloads/
And, activate WPML Multilingual CMS first then string translation.
All should be latest versions.

Hi Riffaz,

My colleague passed this issue onto me. I definitely have the main ‘WPML Multilingual CMS’ active on the site and have been using it for a couple of weeks now. I now just want to start using the strings too?

- ok, then it's fine.
- make sure you have network activated it and activated in the site well.

I now just want to start using the strings too?
- yes, if you want to translate conveniently.
- because, WPML String Translation allows to translate texts that are not in posts, pages and taxonomy. This includes the site’s tagline, general texts in Admin screens, widget titles and many other texts.
- please refer : https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/
- just like the main WPML, enable this for network and in the site.

you can create the account with just a dummy email.
Email should not be real one.

Hi,

Thank you.

You did not register the WPML.
Please click on the register and register it with a valid sitekey and check the issue.

please:
1. go to https://wpml.org/account/sites/
2. delete the current key
3. go to your site > plugins > Add New > Commercial tab and unregister the WPML
3. create another key with the correct url
- simply click this url https://wpml.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/wpml-registering-in-your-site-2.png that will create the sitekey automatically using the correct domain name.
4. try to register now using the newly created sitekey.

Let me know after doing this and checking this.
