This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing issues with translating field labels on their live site using the MyListing theme, which is not officially compatible with WPML.

Solution:
We recommend reaching out to the theme's creators and asking if they have a method to translate these fields via WPML. If the theme creators require assistance with making their theme WPML compatible, they can join the Go-Global Program, and we will be glad to help. Unfortunately, without official compatibility, we are limited in our ability to adjust the theme code to work with WPML.

Please note that this solution might be outdated or not applicable to your case. If you're still facing issues, we highly recommend checking the related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket for further assistance.

Hello,

thanks for the effort and for coming back on this.

I have checked translating types strings via WPML String translation or similar and setting Types translatable and manually translating them and setting different labels for 2nd language, but still, it doesn't translate on the front end.

The theme (MyListing) is not officially compatible with WPML so issues can happen. The best I can advise is to reach out to the creators and ask if they have a way to translate this via WPML and if they need our help with WPML compatibility they can join the "Go-Global" Program, and we will be glad to help make them officially WPML compatible.

I am afraid there is not much we can do and adjust their theme code to work with WPML instead of them, but we are willing to help.

Hope this makes sense.

Drazen

So it was suggested to me by the folks over at WPML that I should create a staging website, upload the data from my main website and share the link with you guys so you can propose a solution to my translation problems ?

Hello,

yes, I checked but not much I can do as seems the theme doesn't support the translation of these fields, since not officially compatible with WPML. Sorry for the trouble with staging but there was no other way to safely check the problem.

You should not share anything there it is for developers, you need to contact the theme author and share this issue with them and check if they are aware of this and have a fix for it. If they need our help they can contact us via that link and we will be glad to help and work on this with them.

Regards,
Drazen
