I am trying to:
Visualise content that we have translated for a client

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:
hidden link

I expected to see:
The translation in English

Instead, I got:
The translation in English, but twice! This is the case on all the translated pages.

Hello,

Welcome to the WPML support forum. I will do my best to help you to resolve these issues.

Does this happen when you translate a Page using *Atenao* translation service?

Does this happen to all type of Posts and Pages?

To help you faster, I've enabled debug information for this support ticket. Please see this link for how to get this information from your site and give it to us: http://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support/

Thanks for your help. Yes, this appears to be an issue on all translated pages. And yes, they were translated by our agency, Atenao.

Hello,

Thank you for the details. Please try the following steps and check you are still having the issues.

1) Please upgrade to WPML 3.9.4 after a backup

2) Create a new Post/Page. Translate it via WPML Translation Editor and check the bug is existing or not. Please check the following documentation for the instructions.

https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-the-translation-editor/

3) Maybe you are facing this issue because of compatibility issues. So to make sure if possible, please do the following steps.

a) Backup your site first
b) Switch for a moment to a WordPress default theme like 2017
c) Deactivate all the plugins that are not related to WPML
d) If the issue is gone, activate one by one to see with which one there is an interaction issue

Hello,

The client's theme (Unicode) should be fully compatible with WPML, and is even recommended by you. Do you think it is still worth trying the backups and updates?

My client has tried backing up and creating a test page, as you suggested. She then translated the test page in the WPML interface, and this is the result: hidden link

You can see that the content is now doubled in the footer. This seems to be an issue with pages which contain content blocks - if the page only contains text, the content is not doubled.
