This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client reported an issue where the translated footer on their page did not match the original footer, nor the non-translated version, indicating a potential mismatch in the template mapping. The site uses the TT5 theme, which previously encountered issues with menu definitions when attempting to implement multilingual capabilities with Polylang.
Solution:
We requested the client to provide the URL for editing the footer in the original language and to share access credentials securely to investigate the footer translation and verify the WPML configuration. We also advised the client to ensure a full site backup is available before making changes.

If you're experiencing similar issues, we recommend checking your template settings and ensuring your WPML configuration is correct. For detailed guidance, visit our documentation on WPML documentation.

Please note that this solution might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the issue persists, please open a new support ticket.

The footer of my translated page (Schermafbeelding 2026-04-29 065600), isn't a the same translated footer on the original page, not even the non-translated version of the footer (Schermafbeelding 2026-04-29 064902) on that page. It seems like there is somehow a mismatch in the mapping of the template (Schermafbeelding 2026-04-29 065505) and it's components.

Hello,
Thank you for contacting us

1.- Please share the URL to edit the footer in the original language

2.- Also, I kindly ask you to share the access credentials to the site in your next message, which I have set private. This will allow me to reproduce the issue, investigate the footer translation, and double-check the WPML configuration.

Confirm you have created a full site backup that you can restore if necessary.

Looking forward to your message.
Regards,
Carlos

Thanks Carlos for offering your help.

The TT5 theme obviously had some issues in menu definitions due to an earlier attempt to make the site multi language with Polylang.

Anyway it is resolved again. I would consider to

1) Create a heads up notice before starting the installation procedure that additional care is needed in these cases.

2) Do a pre install check on inconsistent headings and navigations in case of an FSE solutions like TT5.

3) Consider creating warnings in case NULL pointers exist in the database.

But I rather leave that match to you at WPML.
