I am trying to: translate the home page

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:

I expected to see: the same layout as the main language one

Instead, I got: the layout is off, the footer and some block element are missing. I found that the reason the theme "view option" are not copied to the other language pages, everything is fine if I make the setting the same manually, however the footer and logo a carousel (making by block and shortcode) are still missing.

How can I fix it?
thanks

Hey,

I just had a closer look at your website and I could see that some styling is not applied to the zh-hans language. The style comes from the theme, as far as I can see. The CSS appears on the two other languages but not on the last one.

This seems to be the missing CSS:

.vc_custom_1566915675869{background-color: #343434 !important;}.vc_custom_1567325153889{background-color: #231f20 !important;}.vc_custom_1567344846268{padding-top: 20px !important;background-color: #231f20 !important;}.vc_custom_1566117177155{padding-top: 3em !important;padding-bottom: 3em !important;background-color: #f4f4f4 !important;}.vc_custom_1567180442728{background-color: #ffffff !important;}.vc_custom_1567180388071{background-color: #ffffff !important;}.vc_custom_1566881910141{margin-top: 10px !important;margin-bottom: -20px !important;}.vc_custom_1567344905723{padding-left: 3em !important;}.vc_custom_1567344910088{padding-left: 3em !important;}.vc_custom_1567344917183{padding-left: 3em !important;}

Can you try to add it to add it to your website and see if things are looking better this time, please?

Thanks,
Radu

Hello, please reference to my attachment.
1/ I found that the css missing is because the "View Options" setting was not copy to other language page.
2/ and also there are some element from wpBakery page builder (such as the porto block element) do not work/ appear on the front end even they are both copied to the new language page.
Is there are some settings to check before I translate the page?
thanks

Hey,

Can you go to Dashboard → WPML → Settings → Custom Fields Translation, and search for each option from View Options section, please? For example, the Loading Overlay option is loading_overlay. Just simply set all the options to Copy and see if the style is still wrong on the secondary language.

Let's take care of the style first and then we'll look at the wpBakery elements too.

Thanks,
Radu

Yes it works
now we know loading_overlay is the option Loading Overlay
However not every option using the same slug as their name. example "Secondary Menu" I cannot find the option by searching "Secondary_Menu"
is there any way to learn their slug?

Thanks

Hey,

The name of the custom fields is might not have the same name as its label. The name of the fields is always set by the theme (or plugin) that creates them.

You can try to scroll down this page hidden link and look for the custom field in the Multilingual Content Setup block. This should be the section to contain the custom fields from your page. Can you check this out, please?

Thanks,
Radu

Hey,

I checked this out once again and I no longer see the loading_overlay either. In this case, can you delete the translations of this page, set to Off the Use WPML's Translation Editor option from the right sidebar, and create again the translations, please? This way you should be able to set the View Options for the translated pages and make the layout work fine. Please give this a try and tell me how it works this time.

Thanks,
Radu
