I have two posts that lack the featured image.
hidden link

I added the featured image to the first one; then when I went to fulfill the Spanish translation the ATE correctly allowed me to translate the image metadata, i.e. the caption, the alt text and the description. Ok, so far so good.

Then I added the featured image to the second post but this time the ATE didn't offer me to translate the metadata, moreover, they were totally absent from the list of items to be translated.

Another matter: I would like you to explain to me what it means that icon with the two gears that is next to the second post title instead of the usual icon with the pencil.

Thanks in advance

Thank you for contacting WPML support.

1.- Regarding the translation of the image metadata, could you tell me if the option of translating the featured image and attached media is selected in the page in the original language?

Also I recommend you to take a look at this link:

2.- Could you please provide a screenshot of the icon you desire to get more information about?

Kind regards,

Hi there,
Thank you for your message.

In this case I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Our Debugging Procedures

I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.
