Thanks for letting me know. Our 2nd Tier Support asked me to verify whether the issue also occurs on an older version of Houzez. I’m currently testing this and will update the report shortly. I’ll get back to you as soon as I have further updates. My apologies again for the inconvenience.
Thanks for your patience. Our 2nd Tier Support has reviewed the issue and would like to better understand how it can be replicated. Could you please advise on the steps to reproduce the issue, or approximately how long we need to wait before the strings change on their own? Also, did you make any changes on the site that might have triggered this behavior?
We’ve tested this on two sandbox sites and were unable to replicate the issue, even after waiting for a couple of days.
Also, I've rechecked your Website and I noticed that you've fixed the issue manually again hidden link , am I correct?
The translations of properties in English are changing and disappearing. I've changed this a thousand times, reported it to your support team in other tickets, and it still hasn't been resolved. The filter for:
Exclude states
Which states would you like to exclude from searches?
This is unbelievable, honestly. This plugin has given me nothing but problems.
Thanks for your reply, and my apologies for the ongoing issue.
I want to assure you that we're doing our best to help resolve this. I’ve rechecked the property page here: hidden link and I can confirm that the strings have reverted back to Spanish, even on the English version of the page.
To better understand what’s causing this, I need to confirm a few things:
"cada vez que hago un import, se cambian las traducciones de propiedades en ingles y desaparecen" (Translation: “Every time I import, the English property translations change and disappear.”)
Could you please clarify if this import process is the exact trigger that causes the string translations to revert or disappear?
Ok, regarding the translations, I reset the English language settings in the theme options under properties translations, and now it looks fine in English.
The excluded search statuses for both languages are: reserved and SOLD, and reserved and SOLD.
First, I ran WPML export and import to synchronize two imports I already had, and everything remained fine.
I ran WP export and import, and the translations are still working.
I ran the Spanish import, and the translations are still working, but the Spanish exclusion statuses have disappeared. Only the English statuses (reserved and SOLD) remain excluded. "Reservada" and "VENDIDA" are gone.
The English import deletes the excluded statuses from the English search (it deletes "reserved" and "SOLD") and also deletes the English translation.
Thanks for your reply. I’m sorry for the confusion, but it looks like your response may have been mixed up with another ticket related to “search statuses.”
For this ticket, we’ll focus specifically on Theme Options → Translations that are affecting the strings on the English page here: hidden link
(as shown in the attached screenshot).
Our 2nd Tier Support has made progress on your site:
-They confirmed that the strings displayed on the property page are correctly set in Spanish within the Theme Options.
-In String Translation, I also verified that all strings under the domain admin_texts_houzez_options are set to Spanish as the source language.
To change how these strings appear in English, please follow this workflow:
-Go to Theme Options in the Spanish language and update the text in Spanish, then save the changes.
-Navigate to WPML → String Translation and translate those strings into English.
This is the correct and expected workflow for handling these translations.
Thanks for your patience. I'm glad that translations are stable now, and let's monitor this for a couple of days to see if the issue comes back. As for the search status after import is executed, please follow up with my colleague on this ticket https://wpml.org/es/forums/topic/traducciones-de-propiedades-duplicancategorias/page/2/ . He will check your replies and will follow up with you.
