This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client wants to reduce the size of the options on their site, noting that WPML-related options take up significant space.
Solution:
We explained that most WPML-related data is essential for normal function, but some can be cleared, such as the

_wpml_batch_report

. This specific option will be optimized in future WPML versions to automatically clear after translations are completed. Until then, if you have translations in progress, we recommend not manually clearing this data. Always ensure to back up your site before making any changes.

If this solution does not apply to your situation, or if it seems outdated, please check the related known issues and confirm that you have the latest versions of themes and plugins installed. If the issue persists, we highly recommend opening a new support ticket with us for further assistance.

Symptoms:
Total size of options is too large.

Questions:
I want to reduce the size of the options on the site. I noticed that the ones related to WPML take up the most space. Is that normal? Is there a way to reduce their size or completely remove some of them?

Hello,

Most of them contain data that is needed for WPML to function normally. Note we do have plans to optimize this part in future versions.

Some of the options are reports/status one and they can be cleared, for example, batch_report, we have a fix for this coming in nthe ext versions:

- Send content for translation to a translator and confirm _wpml_batch_report is populated. Complete the translation and verify that _wpml_batch_report is fully cleared.

So if you have translation in progress, I would not advise clearing this manually, but instead wait for the next versions where this should be implemented automatically.

Please make sure to create a backup, before doing any actions, just in case.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Drazen
